
Workshop Exploring Career Possibilities and Challenges in Forensic Science, Renaissance University, Indore
Forensic science offers numerous career opportunities, and with continuous research going on, several subfields have also emerged. With this, the requirement for a skilled workforce has increased manifold, leading to the development of new career openings in this field.
As a forensic expert, I recently had the opportunity to deliver a lecture on "Exploring Career Possibilities and Challenges in Forensic Science" at Renaissance University, Indore, on May 13, 2023.
During the lecture, I
covered a range of forensic science-related topics.

- Introduction to forensic
science, its importance in criminal investigations, and its impact on society
- Overview of career
options as a forensic expert, such as crime scene investigator, forensic
accountant, forensic psychologist, forensic toxicologist, forensic biologist,
fingerprint examiner, cyber security specialist, etc.
- Qualifications and
skills needed for each career path and how to make informed decisions
- Importance of gaining
relevant degrees, practical experience, and networking
- Challenges faced by
forensic professionals, such as emotional imbalances while dealing with
victims, dealing with bureaucracy, and handling legal processes
The lecture provided valuable insights and a unique perspective for students interested in pursuing a career in forensics. Through my lecture, students gained a better understanding of the field and the skills needed to succeed.
I am grateful to the
university’s organizers for conducting such a workshop, and I wish to continue
delivering lectures like this in the future also and keep shaping the future of
forensic science students and professionals.
