Being invited as a speaker by the prestigious Central Academy for Police Training in Bhopal was both an honor and a privilege.
As a forensic expert, I was invited to deliver a captivating lecture to the newly recruited Deputy Superintendents of Police from all across India on 23 June 2023.
The topic to be covered
was "Fingerprint and Digital Evidence: Collection, Examination, and
Presentation in Court."
The lecture hall buzzed with anticipation from the enthusiasm of the attendees.
Beginning with the fundamentals, I discussed the unique characteristics that make fingerprints such an invaluable tool in forensic investigations.
From ridge patterns to minutiae, I showcased real-life case studies, demonstrating the power of fingerprint evidence in identifying suspects and linking them to crime scenes.
Moving onto the digital realm, I talked about the complexities of digital evidence collection. I revealed the ever-expanding range of sources, including social media, smartphones, and cloud storage, which can act as invaluable clues.
