1st live webinar was organized by the Faculty
of Science, Assam Down Town University, Guwahati, in collaboration with
Sherlock Institute of Forensic Science, India, on 10th December 2022 via Google
Meet.
The topic of the webinar was Forensic Science
and its Multidisciplinary Approach.
I am privileged to be invited as the keynote speaker to share my thoughts and experience on the topic.
Forensic science is not just one particular field of study. It involves various fields of science to help law enforcement agencies with the best crime-solving practices and aids in developing new techniques.
Its study or usage is not limited to solving crimes alone but also
how different sectors and organizations can benefit from it by implementing
safety measures.
I spoke on various topics, and the major ones
were:
- Role forensic science in crime solving
- Application of scientific techniques
acceptable in the court of law
- Breakthrough developments in the forensic
science field
- Prospects of forensics globally
I also discussed what opportunities are available in this field and the value youth of our country can add to the well-being of society by becoming forensic experts.
It was an interactive session and ended by
solving students’ queries.
