A nation's progress is directly related to its inhabitants' education level, especially youth. With technology changing faster than ever, leading to an increased rate of cyber crimes, it is mandatory to conduct cyber awareness programs regularly.
Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Central and
South West Delhi, organizes such events.
They organized one such event; Cyber Crime Awareness Session on 24th May
2022 under the supervision of the Investor Education and Protection Fund
Authority, Govt of India.
The main focus was to educate the attendees about the rising cyber crime cases in society and ways to minimize them.
I felt privileged to be invited as a guest speaker by Dr. Atul Pandey Sir to share my cyber security knowledge with everyone.
The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony. After that, I discussed various topics like types of cyber threats a common person faces in day-to-day life, what preventive measures can be taken, and several short-term and long-term cyber security training programs one can take for self or professional use.
Cyber security is a concern worldwide, and
attendees were well aware of this. Everyone got deeply involved in the session
and was keen to implement the knowledge gained in the real world.
It was an overwhelming experience to deliver
the lecture, and I thank all the attendees for their active participation and
enthusiasm.
