Gone are the days when girls are deprived of even basic education. Nowadays, you can find active participation of girls in almost every sphere of life, thereby increasing their becoming of online threats.
However, if the foundation is strong, nothing can stop them from achieving great heights.
We are living in a tech world now. Everything requires the usage of technology in one way or other.
Almost entire work, whether educational or professional, takes place online. Hence, awareness of cyber-related crimes and their preventive measures is necessary for everyone.
To spread awareness about the same, Gulab Devi Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Ballia, under the supervision of the Vice-chancellor and chief guest Prof. Kalplata Pandey mam, organized a Cyber Crime Awareness Seminar on 9th May 2022.
There is no limit to cyber crimes. New crimes come up now and then. And along with common cyber threats, several crimes involve women as victims.
It is a great feeling to be invited as a speaker at the seminar primarily focusing on women-related cyber threats, as they are the most vulnerable.
I discussed various crimes that have
occurred, what safety measures to take to avoid their occurrence, and how women
can gain basic cyber security understanding not to fall prey to such crimes.
I am very grateful to Prof. Nirja Singh mam for inviting me. It was an excellent experience for me, and all attendees gained a lot from this event. Looking for more such events to educate and empower women in my country.
