Police play a vital role in keeping a check
on criminals and maintaining a crime-free society.
However, due to massive technological advancements, criminals nowadays have access to high-tech techniques for committing crimes.
Traditional crime-solving strategies alone are not sufficient.
So it has become necessary to educate our
police force with the latest forensic science methodologies to collect and
evaluate evidence from the crime scene.
With this in mind, an interactive session was
held at Central Academy for Police Training.
I got an opportunity to interact with DySP
officers of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tripura, Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, and
Jammu & Kashmir.
Nothing is more satisfying than discussing
forensics with like-minded professionals, especially law enforcement officers.
I emphasized the necessity of gaining
knowledge about several crime-solving techniques to speed up the investigation
process and not get fooled by agencies that might charge exorbitant amounts
from law enforcement officers.
Conducting police training programs
nationwide helps officers perform the investigation process themselves, reduce
the dependency on external agencies, and accelerate the entire crime-solving
process.
